1. Forest Management & Wood Processing Plant
In accordance to forest management studies, select harvesting and replanting operations of the 14,000-acres of rich tropical hardwood forest will improve the health of the forest, and allow sustainable harvesting of up to seven million board feet of tropical hardwood per annum for processing into high value wood products. Company plans to build and operate a world-class wood processing and arts & handicraft complex. To meet the challenge, AME International, an Austrian Engineering company, has been engaged to build and oversee the management of this plant and to train and retain qualified local management and staff to operate this plant.

2. Organic Farming
Our focus on organic farming will allow Mayan Plantation to position itself among the leading companies in this industry.  Although a $9 billion dollar industry, over the past decade, sales of organic products have shown an annual increase of at least 20%, the fastest growing sector in agriculture. Initially focused on exotic tropical fruit and nuts, cacao, coffee, greenhouse nurseries will provide landscaping plants for development projects of the company and nearby resorts, emphasizing native plants.  We plan to establish in joint venture with young entrepreneurs flower farms for orchids (flower leis) and other tropical flowers as gift items for the growing tourist market and for export. In the future an exotic animal ranch and/or rotational grass-fed cattle operation as well as organic vegetable farming operations should provide a sound and sustainable product mix.
