The Belizea Resort Club (the “Resort”) is an integrated luxury resort hotel/condominium project to be constructed on a picturesque peninsula of approximately 130-acre within the Mayan Plantation.  The Resort will be the first resort hotel/condominium project of its size and class in the Country of Belize.  The Resort is also the first project to be built within the larger development master plan for the approximately 50 square mile Mayan Plantation.  [A Financing Package for this Project has been prepared.  Please contact us to request a copy.]  
   

Location
The Resort is bordered by the Caribbean Sea to the East and an approximately 10,000+ acre lagoon to the West.  It is located west of Ambergris Caye, Belize’s current main tourist and diving center.  The Resort is also conveniently located less than two and one-half hours from major U.S. cities and approximately 30 minutes from the Belize International Airport and Belize City.

Access
Access to the Resort (at least initially) will be by boat and helicopter to preserve a sense of exclusivity and privacy.  The Resort will provide a full range of activities and amenities including: scheduled water taxi service to the International Airport, Belize City, and the Cayes (which are a “jump off” point for diving and boating activities); food and beverage service; diving, fishing, and bird watching tour services; shopping; a marina; and recreational and meeting facilities.

Belize Tourism
It is anticipated that demand for the Resort units will be high based on the current and increasing number of tourists visiting Belize and the currently inadequate supply of rooms to accommodate this demand. This demand for vacation facilities in Belize has been fostered by the advertising efforts of the Belize Tourist Board and ever increasing international recognition of Belize as a developing tourism destination.

 
       
     
 


Development Phases

Development will be carried out in three phases lasting approximately 12-18 months each.  When fully developed, the Resort will consist of:

  • 57 two bedroom and 57 one bedroom villas, which will be sold as condominium units;
  • A three story resort with 60 studio and 60 one bedroom units, which will be sold as condominium units;
  • A marina with approximately 75 slips;
  • A Resort Club with amenities including pools, waterslides, tennis courts, putting greens, volleyball courts, etc., which will be transferred to an association made up of the owners of units within the Resort;
  • 24 over-water bungalow clusters (each cluster includes a one bedroom with living room unit and an additional studio lock out) will be retained by Developer and operated as a hotel;
  • Hotel facilities and concessions including, spa facilities, restaurants, meeting facilities, lobby and rental desks, etc., which will be retained by Developer and either operated as part of the hotel or leased to independent vendors for operation; and
  • In addition, there are 28 one-acre and 3 two-acre villa sites within the Resort (which are along the Caribbean shoreline side of the peninsula) that have already been reserved and are expected to be developed in the future.
